HCS Parent Newsletter for 5.26.22
PRINCIPAL NEWS…
Congratulations to all of our students and families for wrapping up a successful school year. We wish everyone the best over summer and please take some time to refocus, be thankful for what is around us and rest up. For those who will be returning, we look forward to kicking off our new theme: WE BELONG HERE. We wish all of our graduating 5th graders the best of luck as they head across the river to RMS and please know you will always be a part of Storm, thank you for the memories, celebrations and sharing in your accomplishments. No matter that you do, stay true to yourself and continue your path to greatness. Remember, the best way to practice your skills is to do; therefore continue to pick up a good book to read, take some time to write in a journal, and challenge yourself to learn something more!
For those families who will not be returning to H.C. Storm, please know you will always have a home here. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and know that each of your son/daughter(s) will transfer all of their amazing skills they have learned into their new schools and communities. If you will be leaving, please notify the office and please have your child(ren) return their Chromebooks, cases, and power cords to their classroom teachers. Click here to let us know your plans for next school year.
Beginning May 31st, we will be adjusting to summer hours and the building will be accessible, most days, from 8:00-2:30. HC Storm will be closed beginning June 22nd until July 18th. If you need immediate assistance over summer, please feel free to contact our main District office (630-937-8800), but know they will have an adjusted schedule as well. If you experience any technology issues with your student Chromebooks, please feel free to access help@bps101.net for further information and submit a help desk request. When we return in July, please look for some additional communication pertaining to kindergarten/new family tours, beginning of the year PTO celebrations and any guidelines we will be required to adhere to. If any families move in over the summer, please direct them to our District office for registration.
Students will continue to have access to their Math IXL account until July 31st, if you are interested in continued practice over the summer.
