PRINCIPAL NEWS…
Friday April 29th: The Storm Fun THUNDER Run is back and better than ever! This year, the PTO is hosting a lap run/walk event to raise money to fund Student Support, Library, Administrative Costs, and Family Engagement and Community Building. We made the change to an in-house fun run for more flexibility and to give back all of our fundraising dollars to our classrooms and school community. Such an amazing way for H.C. Storm to come together, highlight we ALL BELONG HERE
Current Classroom Leaders: First place – Team Ciway/Woodard-PM Kindergarten / Second place – Team Bell Fourth Grade / Third place is a tie between – Team Johnson Second grade and Team Kolodziej Fifth grade. There is only a $15.00 difference between first and second place with a lot of time to submit your entries to move to the top of the leaderboard. As we head into the weekend, we have a whole school WEEKEND contest. If H.C. Storm, as a whole, is able to generate 25% more in donations/registered, Mr. Milka will spray color his hair on Monday (with one-day washable hair dye), permitting the leading class the opportunity to watch this experience and video so every other classroom can witness the event. Let’s come together as a school to see if we can achieve this goal and if there are other fun things we can earn as a school community.

If you live in Batavia School District 101 or in West Aurora School District 129 and have an elementary school age child, your whole family is invited to participate in TriCity Family Services’ Family Connections program which helps strengthen families and connects families within a community. It starts April 25th– you can still register. Late registrations are allowed throughout the program – but join now so you don’t miss any of the fun! The registration link from the flyer pictured below is here. Once you attend Family Connections, your family will wish the program was year-round. This is no ordinary Zoom meeting – this is a series of fun-filled evenings that can enhance your family time. The time together is filled with conversations within your family and among families, celebrations, food, games, and laughter. Family Connections is led by skilled, enthusiastic facilitators who will lead families through activities using materials provided to you in your very own Family Connections program supply bag (including restaurant gift cards, too). There is no fee to participate. Please invite other families as well, to register too.
- Community Open House for Building Our Future Together. BPS101 has completed the Community Engagement Sessions for the Building Our Future Together plan. Volunteers and staff will be on hand at each location to show you around and answer questions about the buildings. Everyone is encouraged to attend even if you have been in the buildings before. Come see them in a new light. Additional information on the Building Our Future Together project can be found at bps101.net/boft.
