The H.C. Storm community is extremely fortunate.  We have outstanding parents, students, neighbors, and staff as well as a beautiful school and neighborhood. 

We want to guarantee all members of our school the right to learn, the right to teach, and the right to share in a safe and courteous environment. 

The following expectations have been established based on the six pillars of "Character Counts": Trustworthiness, Citizenship, Fairness, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.  All items in the Elementary Handbook apply to H.C. Storm School; please read and discuss with your family.

The Storm School Community has established the following discipline system.  This system uses warning slips, detentions, and Code Notice forms.

1. Warning slips will be sent home with the student.  A copy will also be kept at school.

2. Code Notice forms will be sent home with the student.  A copy will also be kept at school.  Detentions are served for each Code Notice.

3. Dentions will be assigned for the next date and confirmed by the parent.  They will be held after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:35 to 4:05.

 

Discipline System for Kdg. and 1st Grade:

The following steps will be taken if a student in grades Kdg. or 1st does not follow the behaviors of the six pillars: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.
